Al Ain Hospital launches Ramadan awareness campaign for pregnant women and nursing mothers

has launched a Ramadan health awareness campaign to educate pregnant women and nursing mothers about healthy fasting practices.

The ongoing campaign comes within the framework of the strategy adopted by the hospital, which is managed by the VAMED and the Vienna Medical University.

The strategy calls for consistently communicating with all the segments of the local community in general and women in particular in order to provide them with comprehensive health education.

The endevour has also been conceived as part of the efforts of VAMED and the Vienna Medical University to transform Al Ain Hospital into a modern medical facility capable to provide fully comprehensive healthcare services including preventive treatment.

Commenting on the campaign, Mr. George Jepson, CEO, Al Ain Hospital said:

‘Our hospital provides women and babies with the most advanced healthcare and medical services available anywhere in the world. This is of vital importance since they are a crucial segment of the community and their wellbeing and health is of prime importance.’

Dr. Gerhard Schwab, Medical Director of the hospital said: ‘Al Ain Hospital is totally committed to organizing health awareness campaigns, aimed at promoting health awareness in general and during Ramadan in particular.’

The Ramadan campaign across the city’s major shopping centres and malls will continue until the end of the Holy Month. A dedicated medical team specializing in women and babies’ healthcare will provide health information, advice, guidance and medical consultation during the campaign.

Complimentary medical services are also provided to the public to check blood pressure, blood sugar checks in addition to distributing health awareness flyers and brochures.
