Arab Health, a premier healthcare exhibition in the Middle East, will be even larger in 2010, as the region’s healthcare industry continues to grow, the organizers said.
With the addition of four new halls at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, the next Arab Health from January 25 to 28, has expanded to accommodate more exhibitors than ever before, said Simon Page, director of the Life Science Division of organizers IIR Middle East.
Established over three decades ago, the Arab Health Exhibition and Congress is the flagship event of IIR Middle East’s Life Science Division and the region’s premier event for the healthcare sector.
“Last year we hit capacity and were unable to accommodate all potential exhibitors in the space available at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre,” Page said.
“But with the opening of new hall facilities providing a further 20,000 sqm of hall space, we are expecting Arab Health to grow by over 20 per cent as the region continues to develop a modern healthcare system.”
“Arab Health is the destination of choice for the Middle East health industry, which is estimated to be worth close to $80 billion per year. The Middle East also remains one of the fastest growing regions for the industry.”
At the 2009 event, 2205 exhibitors from 59 countries showcased their products and services with more than 56,000 professionals from 145 countries attending. There are expected to be around 2,500 exhibitors at the 2010 event.
Arab Health features the world’s largest multi-track medical congress for healthcare professionals who want to remain up-to-date in their specialisation and earn continuing medical education (CME) credits. The 2010 conferences will be addressed by around 500 eminent speakers and host more than 5,500 attendees.
The Arab Health Achievement and Innovation Awards recognising individuals, hospitals, departments, teams or organisations contributing to the growth and development of the industry will also be presented at the event.
The Arab Health Exhibition and Congress are supported by the UAE Ministry of Health, Dubai Health Authority and the Abu Dhabi Health Authority.
