Julphar to Open Pharma Facility

Ras Al Khaimah Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Jul-phar) will open a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Afghanistan to serve the Afghan people and provide them with quality .

The agreement to set up the factory was signed during a visit by Afghan Minister of Health Dr Syed Mohammad Fatimi to the premises of Julphar.

Dr Fatimi told Gulf News that he came personally to represent the Afghan Government and people in the agreement and will pass the message on to them that in the very near future, they will benefit from the quality drugs of Julphar.

He added that Julphar in Afghanistan will expand its network throughout the country. He explained that currently Julphar has a plant in western Afghanistan but based on the new agreement operations of Julphar will expand to the east, south and north of the country.

The other issue of the agreement is to pass a message to the physicians that the medicines they prescribe for their patients will create the hope that the health of the patients will no longer be negatively affected by low quality drugs.

Dr. Fatimi said that the issue of poor quality drugs has been discussed in the Afghan parliament.

He said he assured the parliament that the issue will be resolved after his visit to the UAE to witness the agreement of the new plant of Julphar in Afghanistan.
