Al Shihi noted that the new recruits will be subjected to the ministry’s comprehensive training programmes which also include psychology and teaching them the proper handling of the elderly people so as to provide them comfort and how to take good care of them.

He stressed that there has been shortages of medical and technical staff in the hospital’s section for the elderly but the Ministry of Health has promised to provide them with all the necessary assistance to solve this problem within the coming year.
