A delegation of healthcare professionals from Turkey recently visited the Dubai Health Authority to discuss ways to boost cooperation in the medical sector.
The delegation headed by Metin Cakmakci, Medical Director of the Anadolu Medical Centre in Turkey met with DHA members at the Dubai Hospital.
The two parties discussed training opportunities as well as promoting medical cooperation by sending patients to Turkey who require specialised treatment.
Dr Hussain Mohammed Abdul Rahman, Medical Director of the Dubai Hospital and Chairman of the Overseas Treatment Committee at the DHA said that the joint cooperation will aid in exchanging latest knowledge and information in the medical field.
He said that in the last few years the medical field in Dubai has witnessed tremendous growth and that this cooperation is a part of the DHA’s strategic vision to boost cooperation with renowned medical facilities across the world.
Dr Cakmakci provided the DHA team an overview of the services offered at the Anadolu medical centre. The Anadolu centre is an affiliate of the John Hopkin Medicine, which is based in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He mentioned that for nineteen consecutive years, The Johns Hopkins Hospital has earned the top spot in the U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings.
