Qatar Health 2009, the first and biggest Medical Congress and Exhibition ever to be organized in the country, is set to break new ground in healthcare. The medical congress and exhibition from December 12 to 16 at the Doha Exhibition Centre will welcome professionals from more than 20 countries presenting some of the latest developments and ground-breaking researches in the medical care.
The event will feature 13 different tracks covering various fields of medical expertise and will attract a large number of exhibitors. In addition to a sizable contribution from Qatar, there will also be a significant international contribution. Medical equipment manufacturers will also be involved, showcasing the latest in technological innovations that they produce.
With an international participation of specialized medical experts, the conference aims to highlight the current developments in the healthcare field. During the course of the Congress, internationally renowned speakers will present papers and their findings, highlighting important health care issues of the day. Identifying trends and technologies which will be the key to the further advancement of the sector over the coming years, Qatar Health will see healthcare professionals from across the globe in attendance.

Each track will have more than eight international and regional speakers. The pediatric track will be the longest lasting three days and cover all the aspects like urology, cardiology, respiratory, intensive care, child abuse and malfeeding and other important issues. The conference will also discuss latest issues as the H1N1 pandemic. “All the tracks will have some of the pioneers in various fields giving presentations. Over the course of the five-day event, a range of topics will be covered, ranging from holistic pain care and acute abdominal emergencies, to complications in multiple births , development supportive care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and establishing organ transplant programmes in the GCC,” said Dr Al Musleh.

The exhibition has been designed in order to fully complement the congress, giving industry leaders and professionals the opportunity to showcase their products to maximum effect.
