SEHA Implements The Enterprise Resource Planning

has announced today a successful implementation of Oracle Enterprises Resources Planning (ERP) in corporate office and across its Facilities. is responsible for the curative activities of all the public hospitals and clinics of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. owns and operates 12 hospitals with 2,644 beds and 62 ambulatory/primary care clinics and most of facilities are Joint Commission accredited

This is a strategic step by SEHA in its efforts to work with the most modern and advanced technologies. The ERP System is expected to support new business development, increase productivity and competency and decrease costs. Such solutions enhance enterprise performance levels by enabling more efficient communication with suppliers, partners, customers and staff. This augments the value of the business. Implementation of the ERP system is part of an effort to reduce the Company’s operating costs while increasing the effectiveness of its operations and providing enterprise-wide perspective for managing its processes and introducing a paperless working environment.

Commenting on the new system, Mr. Saif Al Qubaisi, SEHA chairman said, “Implementing an ERP system is not an easy task to achieve, in fact it takes lots of planning, consulting, and timing. I’m proud we have achieved the ERP implementation across SEHA facilities within a limited period of time! We are harnessing technology to improve efficiency and productivity and building on Abu Dhabi’s e-government initiative.”

Mr. Carl Stanifer, CEO, SEHA, admired efforts of all those who participated in inaugurating this project, considering it another step within a series of projects and solutions SEHA aims to implement to create a paperless environment. The implementation of the Oracle E-Business suite (ERP) by SEHA has shown the commitment of the company to improve services delivery, streamline our internal processes, and provide real-time information for business decisions.

Mr. Robert Pickton, Chief Information Officer, SEHA , added “SEHA has successfully implemented core Oracle E-Business Suit in SEHA corporate office and in most of SEHA facilities in the short time period of eight months. This integrated system brings together entities that had previously used disparate business systems under a common umbrella, and we will use 2010 to add features and functionality to the E-Business Suite”

Mr. Basheer Al Muhairbi, Manager Information & Technology, SEHA added “This Project represents an important quality transformation and technological solution for the achievement and follow up of projects and activities development through different departments and divisions. The new system shall play an important role in the integrating approach for all company business, healthcare facilities and for operation follow up and performance enhance”.

SEHA chose Evolutionary Systems, (Evosys) as Oracle supplier, Evosys is a leading systems integrator for the healthcare and public sector industry, has enabled successful Go-Live of Oracle E-business Suite at SEHA and provided SEHA with a single integrated system for all critical areas of the business in the areas of Finance, Human Resources and Supply Chain.

On the occasion of the Go-Live, Umang Nahata, CEO, Evolutionary Systems (Evosys) said that “Evosys Vision for SEHA transformation was Reduce Variation through Standardization. It was a challenging exercise across SEHA and its facilities to successfully implement Oracle-ERP in a record time frame!

An ERP system is a business support system that maintains in a single database the data needed for a variety of business functions such as manufacturing, supply chain management, financials, projects, human resources and customer relationship management.
