New Multi Speciality Hospital Opens in Bahrain

A new multi-speciality orthopaedic centre has opened in .

German Orthopaedic Hospital, on the third floor of Bahrain Medical Centre, Salmaniya, is billed as a state-of-the-art medical facility promoted by Venture Capital Bank.

‘The centre specialises in providing orthopaedic and is operated by well-known orthopaedic surgeons and medical staff from Germany,’ said Venture Capital Bank board member and chief executive officer Abdullatif Mohammed Janahi.

The hospital will initially focus on orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine, including physiological diagnosis and pain treatment.

‘The main medical team comprises German surgeons, anaesthetists, physiotherapists and nurses who have extensive expertise in fields of orthopaedics and rehabilitation,’ he added.

‘The team is supervised by Prof Dr Heinz Rottinger, a well-known orthopaedic surgeon, who previously held leading positions in several hospitals in Germany and played a key role in the success of those hospitals.’

Venture Capital and Business Development chief investment officer Dr Ahmed Aljawahery revealed plans to expand the hospital to include a specialized centre for medical analysis and tests.

‘The project is based on the importance of establishing a centre of medical excellence in the field of medical treatment and orthopaedic surgery to serve Bahrain and the region, and provide an effective alternative to medical tourism destinations, particularly Germany,’ he explained.

The hospital includes 18 private rooms for inpatients and fully equipped operation theatres.
