Congress voted to support President Obama’s health care overhaul, his poll ratings are split right down the middle.
47 percent of Americans approve of his job as president while 47 percent disapprove. The RCP numbers are obtained as a result of averaging the daily tracking polls by The Rasmussen Report and Gallup, plus the three most recent national polls.
Presidents generally get a small bump after major legislation passes, but given the controversial nature of health care reform, it remains to be seen if that pattern will hold true for Obama.
