HMC Launches A Study on Respiratory Problems Among Children

The Hamad Medical Corporation () launched a study to identify the causes behind the high prevalence of respiratory problems among children in .

Dr Ibrahim Al Janahi, paediatric consultant at HMC, said asthma and upper and lower respiratory tract infections were widespread among children in Qatar.

“The survey will focus on students from all schools to find out the real causes behind the high incidence of such cases,” said Al Janahi.

The first phase of the study has already been completed and the second phase will be implemented in the next two years. He urged all the parents to co-operate with the survey.
