Saudi Gulf Company Signs A Deal to Produce Insulin

The Saudi Gulf Company for Basic Industries has signed two contracts with German-based Linde Engineering to manufacture insulin and blood plasma.

The contracts were inked in Riyadh whereby Linde will prepare detailed engineering designs for the process establishing two factories in Riyadh.

Manufacturing of the expensive and vital drug, insulin will be produced on commercial scale to fulfill the requirements of diabetes patients in Saudi Arabia and the rest of the region.

Moreover, production of human blood plasma will provide a variety of ingredients for medical purposes.

The two pioneering projects in the Arab and Muslim world will produce insulin and blood plasma as per the European and American standards.
