Julphar and GEA-Diesel to Finish The Final Phase in Insulin Project

The Ras Al Khaimah, Gulf Pharmaceutical Industry (Julphar) and the German Engineering Group GEA-Diesel signed a Dh65 million contract to complete all activities in the final phase of the insulin project.

They signed the contract in the Headquarters of Julphar by Dr Ayman Sahli – Julphar’s General Manager and Heinz Waltersdorf – the Managing Director of GEA-Diessel.

Dr Ayman Sahli said: “We are proud to proceed in the execution of the final phase of the insulin crystals project. Julphar is committed to the highest quality of this project and in keeping with the time schedule and we seek to ensure this by partnering only with the best in the industry.”

Heinz Waltersdorfthe, Managing Director of GEA-Diessel, said that he is proud to continue the fruitful cooperation with Julphar that enjoys international reputation in the pharmaceutical Industry, pointing out that this contract is the result of joint efforts between Julphar & GEA engineering teams.

GEA-Diessel will start this June up to end of 2010 with the execution of all clean utilities and plant infrastructure including the supply of purified water system, water for injection and pure steam generators and all clean in place systems using very sophisticated network of piping. This will be in addition to all process interconnecting piping in the production area. This contract is a continuation of Julphar’s efforts to complete the last phase of the project which started this year by signing Dh10 million contract Linde – KCA-Engineering Group to compete the detailed engineering of the project.
