Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) will mark International Ambulatory Care Day tomorrow at SKMC’s Outpatient Specialty Clinics Building.
The main reason behind celebrating the International Ambulatory Care Cay at SKMC is to gather nursing staff from all specialty clinics, introduce services provided at each specialty clinic at SKMC, and raise the awareness of the public and visitors about the role and duties of ambulatory care nurses.
During the day, nurses will be offering visitors free check-ups for the body mass index, blood pressure and blood glucose; and will distribute informational brochures about different health topics such as asthma, allergies, and promote positive habits as healthy eating and promote road safety and children safety.
Dr. Atul Mehta, Chief Medical Officer at SKMC said, “SKMC continuously participates in health campaigns, symposiums and activities.
