Jordanian King opens the new major hospitalThe King of , Abdullah Ben Al-Hussen, and Queen Rania, has recently opened the new , which is going to provide services to more than 300,000 residents in the Ain Al Basha District and other nearby regions including Jerash, Sweileh and Abu Nuseir. Bassam Shloul, the director of the hospital said that its costs were nearly JD18 million. He added that the facility is hosting 130 beds and was established on an area of 14,000 square meters.

Dr. Shloul said “The hospital will reduce the suffering of residents in nearby villages and districts. Ain Al Basha residents used to go to hospitals far from their houses for treatment. The facility will help them a lot,” he added that Prince Al Hussein Ben Abdullah II Hospital features an emergency room, outpatient settings, an intensive care unit, sections for maternity and pediatrics, in addition to an X-ray unit. He mentioned that the hospital will include medical professionals covering all specialties. Prince Al Hussein Ben Abdullah II Hospital was funded through a loan from China and was developed by a special Chinese company; it was planned so that its capacity can be increased to reach 260 beds. Dr. Nayef Fayez, the Jordanian Minster of Health, confirmed the significance of the new hospital as it is going to operate in a highly populated area.
