Bahrain Opens King Hamad University Hospital.

Hamad University HospitalOnly five days after 1,600 vacancies were announced on the ‘s  website .Shaikh Salman bin Attiyallah Al Khalifa, the BDF commander in charge of KHUH , confirmed yesterday that KHUH has received 15,000 job applications since vacancies went online on Saturday.

Al Khalifa mentioned that applications are going to be reviewed carefully in order to hire the best staff. In addition, he said that applicants can continue to fill the applications until the end of the next month. He added that Bahraini national applicants will have preference. The Hospital announced that it needs doctors, nurses and administrative personnel.

Moreover, Al Khalifa announced that a center for organ transplants will be established, two years after the opening of the hospital in 2010. The hospital will also involve the latest systems to detect cancerous tumors in the human body and will provide 3D images to indicate tumors, their spread and size.

During interview with TV, Al khalifa pointed out that “We will also offer special services such as the electronic filing, instead of paper files, which will create a shift in quality in the services provided,”The hospital will open in September and the official opening will host the Kingdom’s celebrations for the National Day in December 2011.
