It was announced that the Health Council in Dubai will establish a certain committee to control challenges facing private health service supporters. Minister of Health in the UAE, Dr. Hanif Hassan, mentioned that the private health section is a main strategic partner of the government.
Dr. Hassan, during his opening speech, highlighted the remarks at the Health Council conference that took place recently. In addition, he reported that “The government takes care of investments in the health sector and partners with private health sector in providing affordable health services for all”.
Dr. Hassan noted that the Health Council is trying to standardize health policies nationwide and offer quality health services for everyone. Suggestions relating to the recent federal law on pharmacists and regulation of medical products were debated in the Health Council.
The Council members studied the suggestions of the Special Needs Parents Association to ease the medical procedures and visits, for those who have disabilities, to health facilities in the UAE and to ensure that the transfer procedures of patients in the country’s public hospitals are carried out easily. Moreover, the conference discussed the referral of prisoners between hospitals and physicians who are holding license.
