More Than Two Thirds Of The Medical Facilities In Abu-Dhabi Failed in Inspections.

Abu Dhabi hospitalsAccording to Health Authority-(), many   have failed in inspections within the last year. It was reported that small private practices neglected new treatments.

More than 1.300 visits were performed to health establishments within the last year, and two thirds of these establishments failed the test, only 156 one passed at the first time.

During one of these visits, the inspector found a previously used syringe that was about to be used again by the hospital later on.Failed medical establishments were given another 45 days to rectify the situation before the coming inspection

Other results have been recognized in some medical facilities, through the inspection like lack of hygiene, weak infection control, non stored medical files, the clinical instructions were not  well reviewed, and the establishments are not kept up to fire safety procedures on regular standards.Besides, Marwan Al Marzooqi, HAAD’s head of health audits for hospitals and clinics said that, there were common problems, involving working on blood or urines samples without gloves by technicians in labs, poor hygienic environment for the equipment and machines used, the incorrect ways of the disposal of used syringes.
