The event located in Crowne Plaza Hotel which is considered the former of its type in the area under the name “Strengthening Health Policymaking in the EMR,” it was succeeded in bringing ministry representatives, regional specialists and policymakers.The Beirut conference is necessary to obviously determine the recent health priorities, and the capability of the program to deal with the challenges of the twenty-one Century, significant prominently in the talks.

It was organized by Fadi al-Jardali who is the health -science faculty member at the American University of Beirut, and supported by prominent international organizations involving the World Health Organization-Eastern Mediterranean Regional (EMR) Office and the International Development and Research Center.

In the current years, the fears of the resurgence of global pandemics have been increasing, due to the emergency deadly viruses for instance the swine and bird flu, besides adding urgency to full the requirements to form a joint regional response.
