GSK Conducts Gum Health Lecture in Jeddah

gum diseaseA dental lecture titled ‘Dentists Scientific Bridge‘ took place yesterday at the Intercontinental Hotel, Jeddah by ’s oral care brand with the Saudi Dental Society. Dr. Ahmed Al Kahtani, Head of Saudi Dental Society, and Dr. Khalid Al Hamdan, Assistant Professor and Head, Division of Periodontics, Dentistry College, King Saud University were among the speakers, so as to highlight latest advances in the treatment of gum diseases, specifically gingival and periodontal diseases.

Dr. Khalid Al Hamdan said “Some people ignore bleeding gums thinking that its harmless problem. These people don’t realise that these conditions could be a sign of and they can lead to more serious chronic inflammatory diseases or even tooth loss if left untreated. The main purpose of this lecture is to raise awareness for gum disease and the importance of treating gum problems, especially given today’s advancements in dental technology and medical sciences”.
