Dr. Ahmed Hady, Pediatrician at Medicare Clinic in Jumeirah told Emirates 24|7 “About 40% of children who come to me have obesity and their parents want to put them on a diet to decrease the fat at an early age. Most of the parents who have obesity put their kids on a diet because they are worried that their children would end up becoming obese if they were not controlled from a young age.

Dr. Hady warned that despite its risky, children must have diet only after consulting a suitable doctor. But certain amounts of fats are necessary, so children must begin their diet if only they are in the dangerous zone. Children with obesity may are under the risk of getting diabetes. Also around 10% of children who has a family history with juvenilie diabetes are at the risk of developing it.
