GE Healthcare Enjoys Significant Growth Thank To Innova Screening Systems

Visitors of the Arab Health Exhibition & Congress at the Dubai World Trade Center might see the company’s latest innovations designed to develop workflow and dose efficiency, enabling interventionalists to perform, with high confidence, the most complex procedures.

Hooman Hakami, President and CEO, GE Healthcare Interventional Systems, mentioned that “Last year was a great year for GE Interventional Systems in the Middle East and, in particular, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where we experienced strong double-digit orders and sales. The Middle East is an important region for us, and we are committed to increasing our presence here to help better understand and respond to the local needs and deliver unparalleled customer service.”

The largest private health system in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Center in Riyadh, with more than ten operating hospitals, bought an Innova 3100 with improved applications in 2010 to be used in both interventional radiology and cardiology. Moreover, King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah City in Makkah, which was established to serve millions of Haj and Umrah pilgrims who visit each year the holy city, bought an Innova 2121 to be used for pediatric cardiology and electrophysiology.

In addition, Dr. Khaled Attas, Medical Director and Head of Pediatric Cardiology at Al Noor Specialized Hospital and Head of the Cath Lab at King Abdullah Medical City reported that “The GE Innova Cath Lab family was our equipment of choice not only for the dose management abilities but also for the wide variety of advanced applications which help us improve patient outcomes. The GE Saudi and Middle East team has provided me with all the necessary information and opportunities to make an informed decision regarding our Cath lab selection in Makkah.”
