Large Health Projects Almost finished In Saudi Arabia

Hospital in KSADirector of Health Affairs in Jeddah, Dr. Sami Badawood, declared that a number of wide health projects in Jeddah are going to be finished, so these projects will help in improving the level of health services for local residents and decreasing pressure on health facilities that exist.

He mentioned that “The new projects include a 500-bed hospital in north Jeddah, which is about 75 percent complete and costs SR228.8 million” The contractor is going to present the hospital in April to his department and tenders have already been provided in order to furnish it.

Badawood reported a new 300-bed hospital in east Jeddah at a cost of SR41 million was also nearing completion. He mentioned that last touches were being added to a SR68 million medical tower at King Fahd General Hospital. “This tower will increase the hospital’s capacity.”

Moreover, Badawood noted that a complete dental center with 40 well-equipped clinics and modern labs would be opened nearly in Jeddah. The director reported that a new hospital in Al-Leeth would be finished within 30 months. He said “The hospital will have 100 beds and is costing SR125 million”. Once Completed, Al-Leeth residents will not have to come to Jeddah for improved treatment.
