Merlin Medical, a Welsh company who attended Arab Health 2011, the largest and most prestigious healthcare exhibition in the Middle East, has mentioned that it has an excellent show and is looking forward to doing business across the UAE.
Based in Gwent, South Wales, Merlin Medical was part of a UK delegation of 200 UK companies at the international exhibition, which welcomed tens of thousands of healthcare professionals from around the world.
The company, who prides itself on being a one-stop-shop for its customers around the world, was welcomed by Arab Health 2011 attendees from across the UAE and other countries, is eager to explore the new exciting export chances going forward. The event also gave Merlin a chance to exhibit various cutting edge innovations, for instance, manual resuscitators, infection control products, and medical supplies for the emergency services, besides the primary and secondary care section. Arab Health 2011 was held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition center and took place between 24 – 27 January, 2011.
Moreover, Merlin also showcased a pioneering portable ECG device, which records the rhythm and electrical activity of patients’ hearts. The M-trace ECG monitor combines cutting-edge technology and outstanding design which features a large high-resolution color display and an integrated thermal printer.
Nigel Wood, Export Sales Manager at Merlin Medical mentioned: “We have received lots of leads at Arab Health 2011 and follow-up has started well. A great deal of interest was generated by our new M-Trace portable ECG machine, and the addition to the Merlin range of the revolutionary treatment for stress incontinence, Incostress. With around 20% of women worldwide suffering from this problem, we are hoping for tremendous sales of this product into markets not just in the Middle East but also around the world generally. Any product which can help prevent the need for an operation and save thousands of pounds in the cost of pads has to be a sure fire winner.”
