A Maternity and Children’s Hospital to be Built by 2012 in Makkah

MakkahThe establishing of the 500-bed new maternity and children’s hospital in is moving forward and will be finished in 2012 as Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, the Health Minister announced. He said “The newly expanded state-of-the-art operation rooms at Al-Noor Hospital in Makkah have started receiving patients”. Dr. Khaled Mirghalani, spokesman of the ministry revealed “The minister expressed his happiness over the progress of work at these hospitals and other health centers”.

Hamad Al-Laheedan, supervisor of the maternity and children’s hospital commented “It has 90 beds for newly born children and 30 beds to take care of older children. The hospital is able to expand in the future”. Al-Rabeeah asked an expert team to build this hospital according to the highest standards and quality. Dr. Khaled added “10 new health centers are being constructed in Mina at a total cost of SR40 million. The minister instructed that the new health centers should be ready before the coming Hajj season”.
