The payroll system for public sector employees which is recently announced in Amman has been rejected by the Associations of healthcare professions. Ahmad Armouti, Jordan Medical Association President said “The government’s salary restructuring plan does not meet the demands of the 2,700 young physicians who work at the Ministry of Health’s facilities”.
He added that he had a meeting with Minister of Health Abdul Latif Wreikat and Minister of Public Sector Development Khleif Al Khawaldeh, who had promised to take the demands of the association in consideration. Also yesterday, the Jordan Pharmacists Association and the Jordan Nurses Association (JNA) said “they were not satisfied with the new payroll system for their members employed in the public sector”.
