Saturday 26 January, , : Corporation, a global leader in software for connected healthcare, will launch the latest version of the Middle East edition of InterSystems ® at the 38th Arab Health Exhibition and Congress, which started 28 January 2013 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Deployed in 25 countries, TrakCare is a unified healthcare information system that combines the best qualities of a global design matched to local needs. The regional TrakCare Middle East edition is localized to the needs of the Arab-speaking market including language, processes, workflow, and government regulatory requirements, while incorporating global best practices from hundreds of TrakCare sites worldwide.

TrakCare delivers all of the proven benefits of an electronic patient record with support for multiple languages and the broadest clinical, administrative, laboratory and community care capabilities on any Internet-based delivery platform.  TrakCare’s true Internet-based architecture enables healthcare organizations to deploy new platforms and devices at the point-of-care without additional software or apps. Enhancements in the latest version of TrakCare help healthcare professionals further improve clinical productivity and patient safety, while enabling system-wide efficiencies. The latest version of TrakCare demonstrates InterSystems’ continuing commitment to enhanced user experience, knowledge at the point of care, providing business process flexibility, and supporting the full healthcare continuum.

“New TrakCare functionality supports global best practices in medication management with significant enhancements in intravenous prescribing and patient-controlled analgesia. These provide clinicians with industry-leading levels of control over intravenously delivered medications and new calculation methods, which reduce the risk of errors,” said Christine Chapman, TrakCare Chief Operating Officer at InterSystems. “By extending support for more complex prescribing, TrakCare helps ensure that a patient’s full medications history is captured in the electronic patient record, providing a full view of allergies and drug interactions at the time of prescription, further improving patient safety.”
